How did you get started?

Colonial Party & Event Rental began as a small mom-and-pop tent rental company. As our customer base grew so did we.  We now not only offer the tent but we can decorate it from the flooring up to the Crystal chandeliers. 

What’s the best part about your job?

Being in the event industry you constantly are meeting new people and looking for new innovative ideas to stay cutting edge. This keeps my job exciting at every turn.

 What sets you apart from others in your industry?

 I pride myself in taking care of the client from the very beginning of the event and through to the end. I am always the point person for the event and you can usually find me onsite at the location making sure that everything is seamless. I make the client feel comfortable knowing I will be taking care of them through the entire process.

Tell us about yourself and company:

I'm Sue Jarvis and I have owned Aristocat Limousine for 25 years.  We offer a fleet of over 90 vehicles and service the entire Detroit Metro area. We have worked with the Laura Davis team for over 2 years and always love working with Laura and her talented team. We specialize in weddings, we love brides because they are almost always to happy and fun :)  Our wedding packages include just married sign, red carpet, champagne, bottled water and more.

Aristocat is a member of the National Limousine Association, Great Lakes Limousine Association, Detroit Metro Convention Bureau, National Association of Catering Executives, The Macomb Chamber of Commerce and more.

How did you get started?

I got started out of my home with 1 limousine 25 years ago.  I was a model with a business/psychology BA degree looking to own my own business and it worked!  

What is the best part about your job?

I sit on the board of directors of the Great Lakes Limousine association and was responsible for getting it back and running this year-it was a lot of work but much needed in our industry.

I also served on the National Limousine Association Board for 3 years-it was a large commitment and very rewarding-I traveled to 4 different cities every year and made a vacation our of 2 of them (the best part lol!).  I also do a lot of charity work and sat on the board of directors for MCREST (a homeless charity) for 3 years-service is a passion of min-I love helping people.

What sets you apart from others in your industry?

What sets us apart is our awesome team.  One of my favorite things about owning my own company is choosing who takes care of our clients.  I always choose people who truly care about others, are smart, professional and street smart.  We represent the largest limousine fleet in Michigan so that really sets us apart.  We have 2 mechanics in house and 4 portors so the cars are all maintained impeccably and are super clean.

Do I have any hidden talents?  
I love to do long distance boat/jet skiing navigating :)
