Tell us about yourself and your company.
Sweet & Savory Bake Shop was opened in the fall of 2002 in the Village of Oxford, in Northern Oakland county. The shop is co-owned by Debbie Meyers and Scott Eschelbach. With 30 and 20 years experience respectively, our business reflects our combined knowledge and passion for the pastry arts. We use the highest quality ingredients to create an extraordinary product. We are constantly evolving to bring our clients the most current trends in design while honoring the classics with a flair for the original and the unique.

How did you get started?
Debbie and Scott met in 1992 and have worked together almost consistently since that time. Prior to their culinary collaboration, Debbie lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area. A six-week comprehensive pastry course led to training and working with Alice Medrich of Cocolat, the multi-published California chocolate maven! Scott started his culinary journey attending OCC and was mentored by Detroit culinary legend Yvonne Uhlianuk.

What's the best part about your job?
The best part about our job is being invited into the homes and events of so many lovely people and having the opportunity to be creative with our fabulous team at the bake shop.

What sets you apart from others in your industry?
Extraordinary quality, commitment to learn and evolve in business and life, LOVE for what we do and who we serve and gratitude for our customers and our staff.

Do you have any hidden talents?
Debbie is known as the "Culinary MacGyver" and a "Junk Diva" and Scott is known at the bake shop as the rapper "19 CENT"!
