Tell us about yourself and your company
3rd Street Films is a boutique style video studio producing cinematic wedding films.  Each couple goes through three phases of the wedding event: they anticipate it, they experience, and their film allows them to relive the moment.  Our goal is to create an easy-to-watch film that lets them relive one of the most memorable days of their lives.   Stylistically, our work feels more like a movie and includes natural audio from the day blended with music to accept the days events.  Our longest films are only 30 minutes in length which makes it easy to show friends and family and hopefully watch at least once a year on your anniversary.

How did you get started?
As an artist, I started in college selling paintings and continued to graduate with an art history degree.  I remember I sold my first painting for $65 (that is a lot of money to a college student) and I bought a keg for a party at my apartment.  That was the first time I experienced the thrill of creating art that emotionally connected with someone to the point they were willing to pay for it. And as a wedding filmmaker I am able to do this everyday.

What is the best part about your job?
The best part of my job is to see the reaction of the couple and their friends and family when they are watching their video at the reception.  They laugh, they cry, they cheer, it is really great to see the smile on their faces as they experience they day that just happened.

What sets you apart from others in your industry?
When I was working for my dad at an early age, he taught me to do the best job I can no matter what it was.  At that time I was picking up trash outside the family business, but I have carried that lesson over into my business.  No matter the budget level, we do our best job every step of the way. The extra effort isn’t generally something a couple may notice, but I believe it is something they can feel while they watch the finished piece.

Do you have any hidden talents?
None that I can think of. Wow, that sounds really pathetic. You can leave this answer off!
